When the pink switch is closed, the current takes the pink path and lights up the bulb on that path.

When the yellow switch is closed, the current takes the path of the yellow line and lights up the bulb on that path.

When the black switch is closed, the current takes the path of the black line and lights up the bulb on that path.

  1. I like your group's idea in using colour to differentiate the different current which aid in your explanation.

  2. Some questions for your group to keep in mind as you are going through activities 1.2 to 1.4.

    1) How does the current flow? From positive terminal or negative terminal?
    2) Is the brightness of the bulbs the same when all three switches are turn on?
    3) Is the amount of current flowing through the bulbs and the battery the same?
    4) If an additional bulb is connected to the circuit for a fourth contestant, will the brightness of the remaining bulbs change?
